Montenegro is a country of thousand-year-old olives and vineyards. The Greek god-cupbearer Dionysus “widely”, “in a neighborly way” endowed this small Balkan land with his gifts. The blessed climate and abundance of sun more than compensate for the lack of topography and lack of extensive areas for cultivation.

Wine-making traditions and the culture of cultivating the land came to Montenegro along with the ancient Romans, who were famous connoisseurs of the “drink of the gods”. In those days, the first vineyards appeared on the lands of modern Serbs and Montenegrins, and over the years they learned to make excellent wine here – red and white.
In Crmnica, the cradle of modern Montenegrin viticulture, more than 1,000 hectares of land are devoted to this ancient culture. Almost every owner here has his own production technology, the secrets of which are passed down from generation to generation. The vine-nurse is looked after like a small child, for which every year she bestows fruits of amazing beauty and taste. The end result of the viticulturist’s work is the amazing Montenegrin wines “Vranac” and “Krstach”, which rightfully occupy a worthy place among the best European wines.
Excursion “Wine Tour” will introduce you to the technology of growing one of the oldest agricultural crops – grapes, the technology for the production of Montenegrin wines. You will get a real pleasure if you taste them in an authentic environment, with traditional local snacks.
