Bay of Kotor – In 2025, 485 ships will dock, bringing around 700,000 passengers
According to announcements, in 2025, the Bay of Kotor will see 485 ships docking, bringing approximately 700,000 passengers.
“The increase or decrease in the number of cruise ship arrivals in the Bay of Kotor does not depend on the port. We are one of the most prestigious destinations, and as much as the cruising industry develops—which is the fastest-growing tourism industry—we will remain a desirable destination, and the demand will increase. The question is whether this can be sustainable in our conditions or not.
Our intention is to create conditions that will allow us to improve the service so that we can manage all these factors in a way that benefits the City, the entire community, and the destination as a whole. It’s not about negotiating numbers, it’s about negotiating the quality of services – we can provide better service with fewer arrivals, and that could be a benefit for everyone. These are things that will follow only after we create the conditions to make this possible,” said the Director of the Port of Kotor, Ljubo Radović, to Boka News.
