The Tourist Season in Montenegro: The prices will not increase.

09.06.11 Price increases in this tourist season will not increase and will remain at last year’s level – The country’s Minister of Tourism, Predrag Sekulich, has promised.
According to the Minister, Montenegro is ready for the season.

The infrastructure has been put in order, the staff has been chosen and there is a high level of security in the country. The main problem according to the Minister remains a lack of luxury rooms in four and five star hotels, but in recent years there are an increasing number of small hotels and service, which are fully capable of satisfying even the most discerning guest from the EU.

The Minister admitted that of course this is not enough and today the 40,000 beds in hotels do not meet the demand, which rises from year to year. Mr. Sekulich also mentioned that the political crisis in Budva had ended and that the municipality is ready for the oncoming season. When asked about the fact that the unfinished building at Cape Zavala (which we know was the reason for the political crisis), which does not create the most beautiful scenery for tourists, the Minister said that the construction in general is hardly scenic views for tourists and for locals, but they are a mandatory part of tourist state.

In the end, construction sites are a sign of a development of a tourist town, and as regards Cape Zavala, we can expect that we will soon find an adequate solution – said Predrag Sekulich.
